So a few weeks ago there was a storm by the name of Gareth... I mean who comes up with these names?! Can you think of thing less foreboding than Storm Gareth?
Anyway, it were windy! By heck it were windy!
So I decided to do a styled shoot didn't I! I mean, I'm going to be honest, finding the time to do anything when you're a mama and your husband works like 70 hours a week is a challenge. But I had this day and I wasn't going to let weedy Gareth take it from me!
I had my babes, both Lucy's but spelled differently as to avoid confusion, I had my outfits and I had sunshine at least.
The location: Brighton, obviously. I love shooting in Brighton. Brighton is always good to me - it has urban, it has rural, it has beach! It also has my parents and free lunch! Bonus!
First hurdle: massive oak tree down just where I told my Lucy's/Lucie's to park! But fear not, a giant oak wasn't going to stop us!
Second hurdle: wind! Ok so Gareth maybe was a little windy and maybe didn't let me shoot exactly where I wanted on the beach and maybe swept all the waves out of Lucie's hair that she had so lovingly styled but actually he did allow for some pretty dress movement and lively hair action shots!
